Plymouth Argyle is set to offer an experienced midfielder, Joe Ralls, a new contract. The 32-year-old, who initially joined the Pilgrims on a short-term deal in September before extending his stay, has become a key figure at the club despite a recent injury. This move signals Plymouth's intent to retain vital talent for future campaigns.

Ralls, a former Cardiff City player, arrived at Home Park in September on a temporary agreement. His consistent performances quickly led to an extension of his contract until the end of the current season. He has made 11 appearances for Argyle, scoring one crucial goal during his time with the League One side.

Unfortunately, Joe Ralls suffered a hamstring injury in January, sidelining him from action. However, there is optimism surrounding his recovery. Should Plymouth Argyle secure a spot in the League One play-offs, Ralls could potentially be fit enough to rejoin the squad, providing a timely boost for the Pilgrims.

Plymouth Argyle head coach Tom Cleverley confirmed the club's intentions regarding Ralls' future. "A contract offer will be made," Cleverley stated, acknowledging the typical process. He added, "The contract offer is always the start of the negotiation, so these things can take weeks."

Cleverley also indicated that the club is actively working towards securing the deal, highlighting the player's interest in remaining at Home Park. "But yes, I think the club will be working towards that and Rallsy's got an appetite to stay," the head coach concluded, suggesting a mutual desire for the midfielder to continue his career with Plymouth.
