Aribim Pepple found the net for the third game in a row during Plymouth Argyle's away victory over Blackpool. His late goal, which was his 19th of the year, contributed to his team moving into a top-three position in the league.
Pepple controlled a delivery from Ronan Curtis and fired a strong finish into the net to secure the points. The attacker has now scored in recent victories against Doncaster Rovers, Barnsley, and Blackpool during his team's successful run.
"He didn’t get the Canada call-up this month that he probably deserves, and he took that personally," said Aribim Pepple. His goal tally for the year places him as Canada's leading scorer.
Oliver Irow scored two goals for Plymouth, and Harvey White also scored. Jordan Brown and Jerry Yates scored for Blackpool. The outcome means Plymouth are close to the top of the table.
Pepple received his first call to the national team earlier in the year but was not included in the most recent squad for upcoming matches. Other players were chosen instead.
