Plymouth Argyle will find out their 2026/27 League One fixtures tomorrow at 12 noon. The Pilgrims' squad will report back to Home Park on Friday for the start of pre-season.
What happened last season?
Plymouth Argyle narrowly missed out on clinching a play-off place at the end of last term. They finished 9th in League One, with 63 pts, 19W-6D-17L from 42 games, and recent form DWLWW.
Summer signings and departures
Argyle have made two summer signings, with defenders Alex Hartridge and Wes Harding arriving from Burton Albion and Millwall respectively. A number of players have moved on, most notably Northern Ireland international goalkeeper Conor Hazard who joined fellow League One side Wycombe Wanderers.
Pre-season expectations
Plymouth Live reporter Chris Errington answered questions about Argyle, covering topics such as the need for a better start to the campaign and improved home form. Argyle's home form has to get better in 2026/27, with only 10 wins from their 23 home league games at the Theatre of Greens last season.

What comes next?
With the bulk of the squad still in place, and well aware of what head coach Tom Cleverley wants from them, Argyle will aim to hit the ground running this term. Their last result was a 3-2 win against Northampton on 2026-05-02. Plymouth Argyle will face strong contenders in League One, including Leicester and Sheffield Wednesday, who are expected to be very strong contenders for an immediate return to the Championship.
